CO2 Based Fire Suppression System
Carbon Dioxide as a Fire Suppression Agent is an economical and effective tool for extinguishing both surface-type and deep-seated fires. Carbon Dioxide or CO2 is a colorless, odourless, electrically non-conductive gas that is highly efficient as a fire suppression agent Carbon Dioxide gas attacks on the Oxygen concentration in the atmosphere near fire by reducing its concentration to extinguish the burning fire.
NFPA 12 on carbon dioxide systems is the leader in prescribing the standards of usage and installation of such fire safety systems. The NFPA Standard 12 on CO2 extinguishing systems recognizes two types of carbon dioxide systems. The first type is the familiar high pressure CO2 systems, and the second type is the low pressure CO2 system. The basic difference between the two types of systems lies in the method of storing the carbon dioxide.
IF&S fire protection systems are based on intelligent, quick response and reliable fire suppression electronic control panels to quickly sense a fire before it can cause damage to life and property.
Our Carbon Dioxide system ensures negligible clean up costs and downtime associated with conventional water sprinkler and automatic powder based fire suppression systems.
Our Carbon Dioxide fire protection systems are available for use in total flooding or local fire protection applications – making it an effective fire protection system for a wide variety of hazardous areas including Computer Server Rooms, Laboratories, Stores, Warehouses, Electrical Panel Rooms, Transformers, Telecommunication Facilities, Kitchens, Frozen Food Storages, Art Galleries, Museums, IT Infrastructure and other areas.
